Leaving on a jet plane……
Bitti is flying out of JFK airport tomorrow, she will be in Virginia this week for a much anticipated breeding. Hopefully she will have puppies in early June! Details will be posted once her pregnancy is confirmed.
What an honor!!
On March 8th, we received notification that Wyndridge Shetland Sheepdogs has been added to the AKC’s Breeder of Merit list! We are honored to have this distinction!
From AKC’s site: ”The Breeder of Merit Program honors breeder/exhibitors’ dedication and hard work as they continue to produce dogs that are healthy, capable, and beautiful.
” The foundation of today’s AKC, Breeders of Merit have the power to influence, guide, and teach future breeders, exhibitors, and all purebred dog owners.”
Fingers crossed…..
Jetta is in season and she is currently being bred to a very handsome sable and white dog. We are very excited about this breeding, our fingers are crossed that the stars align and she has puppies this May. Details will be posted once her pregnancy is confirmed.

Snow day…..
Blizzared 2010, wow, did we ever have a snow storm and howling winds!! The whole state was dumped on, depending on where you are located anywhere between 12 and 20″ of snow! I got a call last night saying that our office would not open today…..YYEEEAAA!!!!!! Snow Day!!!!!! So we spent the day digging out….and shoveling paths for the dogs in the snow. The dogs had a ball playing in the snow. Pictures of the snow dogs here.

EMPTY NEST……..
Norah’s puppies are 9weeks old today, I don’t know where the time has gone…..how can that possibly be? Over the last week four of the puppies have joined their new families, the last one went to his new home today. They were an absolutly adorable litter! Such fun, and, such good puppies too! I find myself missing them alreay, but, I really look forward to hearing about their antics in their now homes!
We are growing out the only girl from the litter, her name is going to be Cocoa. Our fingers are crossed that she holds her promise.

Our visitor “Ch Shaizach Supernatural” (Norah) whelped her litter of 5 sable and white puppies (4 males, 1 female) sired by BISS Ch Macdeca Allegiance. Norah and her babies are all doing very well.
A very special “Thank You” to my friend, Rebecca Jarit, of Shaizach Shelties for allowing Norah to visit with us for this litter!
Spring has Sprung!
It was definitly a long winter and we really had a lot of snow, but, I am happy to say that Spring is officially here. The calendar, the weather and the flowers agree. The trees and the flowers are all in full bloom right now. What contrast to the picture a few posts back showing all of the snow that we had!
