Cuckoo for Cocoa- Puff…..
The little imp is nearly 16weeks old and what a “she-devil” she is! This picture was taken earlier today, when she stood still for barely a second long breather during one of her zooming sessions! She LOVES to zoom!! Cocoa has had loose teeth for a few days now, the first one fell out today…..I can’t wait until ALL of her “shark teeth” are gone, perhaps my wounds will finally heal, LOL!

Jetta is finally coming into coat and looking REALLY nice too! I took a couple of impromptu photos of her today, just took her outside and clicked. When I downloaded them and saw how nice she looked…..I wished that I had actually planned this and groomed her first, LOL! Oh well, she looks lovely anyway!

Cocoa is a little over 3 months now…..
It has been nearly a month since our last post about Cocoa, so it is time for an update and some new pictures.
Following in the footsteps of her momma Norah and Aunt Jetta, it is no surprise, she continues to be quite the character! She is just an endless bundle of energy. Cocoa continues to take new things in stride, and loves to learn! We couldn’t be happier with how she is progressing!!

Starting her agility career with a bang……
Bitti and her Novice Ribbons
Bitti completed her first 3 agility titles this weekend! She earned all 3 titles, Novice Standard, Novice Jumpers and Novice Fast with placements! She had 8 firsts and 1 fourth place. Way to go Bitti!!!!!!!!!
She was moved up to Open Standard on Sunday, she Q’d and placed 1st as well! This is the link to video of that class.
INTRODUCING “COCOA”…….
These are a few pictures that we would like to share of our darling little girl “Cocoa”. She is our show hopeful from our “Norah” x “Adrian” litter. “Cocoa” continues to make us smile both with her endearing personality and by maintaining her early promise. She is pictured below at 10weeks, 6 weeks and 5 weeks with her lovely dam “Norah”. We have fingers, toes, and everything else we can…crossed that she turns out. We think this girl is very special!

EMPTY NEST……..
Norah’s puppies are 9weeks old today, I don’t know where the time has gone…..how can that possibly be? Over the last week four of the puppies have joined their new families, the last one went to his new home today. They were an absolutly adorable litter! Such fun, and, such good puppies too! I find myself missing them alreay, but, I really look forward to hearing about their antics in their now homes!
We are growing out the only girl from the litter, her name is going to be Cocoa. Our fingers are crossed that she holds her promise.
WE ARE BACK FROM “MATERNITY LEAVE”!
OK, so I didn’t actually have the puppies….but, I was not about to leave them to go to an agility trial either. As a result, today was our first trial in many months. We traveled a little over an hour to South Glastonbury, CT to attend the Southern Berkshire Golden Retriever Club’s trial and I have to say the dogs gave me reason to be proud!
It was Bitti’s first stab at an agility trial, so, I entered her only in the Novice Jumpers Class…..just to get her feet wet and see how she would do. Well, she came through with flying colors…..blue that is, coming home with not only a Q, but, a beautiful blue FIRST place ribbon! She earned her first leg toward her Novice Jumpers title by WINNING the 12″ Novice Jumpers Class! She was well under course time, not only did she have the best time in the 12″ class…..there was only one other dog in all of the jump heights that had a better time! That dog was a very fast 24″ Border Collie…..Bitti finished the course in 26.44 seconds the BC finished in 25.9 seconds.
Not to be outdone by his younger sister, Robbie put in 2 very nice classes and DOUBLE Q’D too!! He came home with another 28 points toward his MACH!!
Jetta is officially a CHIC!
We are very pleased!!
All of Jetta’s health testing was recently updated, AND her health clearances are all normal again! This time everything has been listed with the OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals). Having met all of the testing requirements, Jetta is now listed with CHIC, the Canine Health Information Center. Her CHIC number is #65587. HAPPY BIRTHDAY STORMY!!!!!!!!!!
It is hard to believe that Stormy, my “main man” is turning 10 today, where has all of the time gone? Wasn’t it just yesterday that he was a fuzzy little puppy running around the house carrying his leash? The day that we brought him home from his breeder in Pennsylvania could not possibly have been that long ago. I remember toying with the idea of doing some obedience training with him, maybe even eventually trying some trialing. Little did I know the potential my fuzzy little “Storm-pants” actually had!

Stormy is a wonderful and very cherished member of our family, and, he is a very accurate and extremely talented competition obedience dog. Together we achieved far more than I ever thought would be possible. Storm took us from a run off for High in Trial out of Novice A in our very first obedience trial-all the way to an Obedience Trial Championship! It was an amazing journey, that had it’s share of both high and low moments. Along the way we made many friends and many wonderful memories….Happy Birthday to my Storm- man, you are nothing short of amazing, truly a once in a lifetime dog! You are, and, always will be my heart dog!!!

Our visitor “Ch Shaizach Supernatural” (Norah) whelped her litter of 5 sable and white puppies (4 males, 1 female) sired by BISS Ch Macdeca Allegiance. Norah and her babies are all doing very well.
A very special “Thank You” to my friend, Rebecca Jarit, of Shaizach Shelties for allowing Norah to visit with us for this litter!
